ARE YOU AN EXTREME ADVENTURE ENTHUSIAST BEHIND your day job of CIO, CTO, Product Development Manager, CEO, Business Analyst or other trendy title of choice like Chief Storyteller or Digital Media Strategist? Considering that there are 150 million adventure trips a year, compared to 454 million business trips, the odds are high that you or someone you know is an extreme adventure enthusiast.

Finding adventure is never as much fun as living adventure. Rush-On, a start-up company based in Sandpoint, Idaho is trying to make adventure accessible to everyone by making it easy to find adventure opportunities and adventure deals. Rush-On is a one-stop shop for adrenaline junkies…and for those still discovering their adventure experiences.

In an age of extreme weather, you never know what conditions you are going to find throughout the “low season.” Rush-On has developed a location-based application that will send push notifications to you based on your location of adventure deals. The app is free to the consumer, and to the merchant. Rush-On just takes a transaction fee on the booking.

The Rush-On team is bringing together adventure merchants, 10,000 of which are otherwise fragmented, from small mom and pop shops to larger outfits. In general, these merchants don’t have the resources or the technology to maintain websites and promotions on a geo-targeted basis. “Rush-On is an incredible opportunity for merchants to share adventure, and for people to discover adventure like never before,” said Devin Dufenhorst, Founder and CEO.

Rush-On is the result of Devin’s vision, CTO Carlo Pati’s background in web development from Coldwater Creek, and the software engineering skills of Play Expert, now called Kochava, based in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Rush-On’s mission is to bring once in a lifetime experiences to anyone looking for them. “Adventure means different things to different people, from chill to thrill,” says Kara Berlin, Marketing Manager. “Rush-On will inspire you to explore adventure, by saving you time and money booking these trips.”

Congratulations to Rush-On for developing a location-based app for the human spirit.
